(Excuse the pic..... I prefer to be behind the camera rather than in front!  It's one of the few pictures I actually have and was taken for a PSYBT promotion). 

I have been making lampwork beads since August 2006 and am now incorporating them into my own jewellery designs. I have always loved glass and they way it catches and reflects light, to me it is very aquatic in it's appearance and I think that is maybe why it appeals to me so much. Growing up on the beautiful Isle of Skye, we are surrounded by water and I find the ever changing moods of the sea, the lochs (and of course the rain!) very inspiring. I've enjoyed different "crafty" pusuits since I was a child, and have dabbled in a wide variety of crafts from knitting and embroidery through card-making to jewellery making. It was from here that I discovered the beauty of lampwork beads.
